Have You Considered a Coaching Career? Ultimately, I think we all want to make a living doing something that we truly enjoy while adding value to the lives of others. Perhaps you’ve been searching for a way to do exactly that, but haven’t quite figured it out yet. If that’s the case, then I think you might find this article encouraging.
There are lots of ways to earn a living, some are truly enjoyable and rewarding but many are not. Since we all spend a large percentage of our lives working, it makes perfect sense that doing something we love and being financially rewarded for it would raise the quality of our life experience considerably. The next logical question is…
How do we accomplish that?
Obviously, if it was easy to create a career that allows you to make really good money while doing something you truly love, then that’s what everyone would be doing. But that’s not what we see, is it? Instead, we see people investing in expensive programs that promise unrealistic results, but rarely deliver a real world solution.
I think it’s a shame that the hyped-up promise of massive internet riches has left so much emotional collateral damage in its wake. As a result, a lot of intelligent, motivated people have stopped searching for a legitimate way to get paid for doing something that is both enjoyable and satisfying. If you’ve been down this road, please don’t give up on your dream.
Consider the rewards of a coaching career!
I know that it seems like everybody’s talking about coaching these days and that coaches of every variety are springing up in record numbers. Have you ever wondered why that is? I believe there are two very important reasons behind this phenomenon and that both of them resonate closely with our subject – being financially rewarded for doing something you love while adding value to the lives of others.
First of all, there is obviously a real need for coaches and this growing need spells opportunity for a lucrative and rewarding career. The second reason is the fact that coaching can be a truly exhilarating and enjoyable career choice. Consider these five unique benefits associated with a coaching career.
* A good coach can make a lot of money and at the same time feel a great sense of satisfaction because their work helps other people live a better life.
* There are so many specialized coaching categories that it is very likely that you can get paid for sharing your particular passion and knowledge with others.
* Age is not a factor when it comes to a coaching career. This makes coaching a perfect choice for someone with years of real world experience.
* You can start in your spare time and get paid while you develop your own unique coaching style and approach, using your certification training as a foundation.
* Compared to other well paying career choices, coaching doesn’t require a huge investment of time or money to get started as long as you choose the right certification program.
We normally hear about the broader coaching categories like life and career coaching. The truth is that many (if not most) successful coaches are focused on a much more targeted niche. In fact, for just about any area of life or business that you can think of there is a coaching service available.
For example, I specialize in Strategy Coaching while my friend and colleague Steve Aitchison specializes in Blog Coaching. Just to shine a little more light on the possibilities available to you, consider the chart below.

Finding the right certification program
There is real value in being trained and certified as a coach. If you really want to help others and build a legitimate career, please, take the time to go through an accredited training and certification program. It’s a protection for you and your clients and if you choose wisely, you can get a superior education very reasonably.
What you want is an accredited program that is run by true professionals, is reasonably priced, offers great support, and provides top notch training. I have the privilege of being associated with Fowler Wainwright International and the Institute of Professional Coaching, a company that provides training and certification to some of the world’s leading coaches. They have excellent coaching courses and maintain the highest level of integrity. Not only do I recommend them, but because I sometimes write for their newsletter, I am in a position to offer you a substantial discount if you decide to use their services.
Consider the possibility of a coaching career
If you are still looking for a career that allows you to make really good money while doing something truly enjoyable, do yourself a favor – think about becoming a coach. Studies have shown that a highly motivated person working with a coach will make progress twice as fast as the same person trying to do it on their own. That’s not only impressive, but it’s also fun to be a part of.
Here are a few links to some additional coaching resources, but make sure you don’t register for any actual courses unless you are on the special discount page. Using this page you will save $100 so be sure to bookmark it for future reference.
