Forrest Gump is a simple-minded man with little brain power but fine intentions. He battles through childhood with his best and only friend Jenny. His ‘mama’ teaches him the ways of life and leaves him to decide his destiny. Forrest joins the army for service in Vietnam, discovering new acquaintances called Dan and Bubba, he wins medals, begins the table tennis craze, inspires individuals to jog, is instrumental in the creation of the smiley, inspires people to write bumper stickers and songs, donating to people and meeting the president several times.

All the same this is all irrelevant to Forrest who can only think of his childhood sweetie Jenny, Who has messed up her life. While in the end all he wants to prove is that anyone can love anyone.
