The power to heal your body is in your mind. While people may argue as to the logic of this, healing through mind power has been a practice for so long and so many people have reaped its benefit. The mind is so powerful; it is the power bank of the body. The body can’t function without the brain commanding it. Harness this power not just to function fully but also heal whatever is ailing you.
The body is made of one complex system designed to act upon each other. It also has the capacity to heal itself. Since the brain gives out the signal, it too has the power to tell the healing soldiers; the cells, to make the necessary repair to restore your body to its normal state. All we need is to learn how to focus and master our mind.
When we are ill or something is not right we complain and we keep yapping about it to everyone we meet and even to ourselves. We keep repeating the phrase, “I feel sick or I’m not feeling well.” And because this is what you keep telling your body and your mind, so naturally you feel sick. Remember that the mind is powerful; and our body listens to what the mind tells us and so the more you say, I am not well, then the more you feel sick.
So instead of this why not tell yourself that you are well and at the prime of your health. Don’t wait to get sick and meditate to heal. Even in mind healing, prevention is always better than cure. Meditate everyday and tell yourself that you are healthy. This will train your mind and shall follow suit. Stop preaching to your friends and family that you are sick. Stop owning illnesses. People are so used to telling people I have diabetes, or I have a heart problem and this is my medicine and what I have to endure everyday; as if this will make them a hero.
Do away with the drama; nobody wants to listen to your misery. The world is in chaos as it is without you adding to it. Even when you feel that your body is not well, fight the feeling by meditating and telling yourself you are not sick. These feelings of illness are warning signs and should not be ignored, if after meditation you still feel the symptoms and you are showing outward sign of disease then by all means go to the doctor or take some medicine.
Mind healing is an alternative; making you realize what kind of power you actually have in your hands. But let it not prevent you from seeking treatment when you know you really need it. The illness of the mind often creates illness in the body. To prevent this from happening stop thinking negative thoughts; don’t let negative thoughts create an imbalance in your mind and your body. It is scientifically proven that people who are stressed and anxious are the ones prone to developing diseases such as heart problems, stroke, diabetes and cancer. Start thinking positive and change your perspective and live a healthy life.
