Shift Your Focus – The Power of Questions
One of the major differences between those who are positive, successful, and those who are not, is the questions that they consistently ask themselves. Questions have the ability to redirect our thoughts in an instant. Asking the right questions can change your mindset from limiting to empowering, almost like magic.
Every day, we ask ourselves questions, often without conscious awareness. They provide the mind with incentive and direction because as soon as we ask a question, our mind immediately begins searching for an answer. If we don’t like the answers that we are getting, it probably has a lot to do with the questions we are asking.
5 morning questions worth asking
1. What one thing can I do today to move me closer to my primary goal? 2. How can I inject a sense of adventure into today’s activities? 3. Of all my many blessings, what am I most grateful for today? 4. What can I do today to help put a smile on someone else’s face?
5. Which one of today’s activities am I most looking forward to?
See how simple that is? When you ask yourself these five questions, your mind will assume that there is an answer to each of them. It will go to work on those questions until it comes up with the answer. If the answer to any of these questions comes back as “nothing.” Then ask yourself this question. What have I overlooked?
